Day 2 of what will now be known as Strawberry Week. So, what do you do when you have several pounds of strawberries? Make cobbler!
I’d actually never made cobbler before this, and I had rarely eaten it either. Can you tell I used to be more of a cake and less of a pie/cobbler person? I was a tad confused about placing scoops of dough not touching. It felt a little unnatural but it was perfect for divvying up individual servings later.
I used the blueberry cobbler recipe from Ad Hoc at Home, which made cake-like dough parts, perfect for soaking up the fruit juices. Next time I will use a larger pan and divide the dough into more servings, because the it spread out quite a bit. I will definitely be making more cobbler using different fruits this summer. Maybe I’ll even make some fruit pies!
