Usually I’m pretty on top of holiday shopping and try to start early in the season so it’s not stressful. This year, I was not on top of it – last week I suddenly realized that there were only 2 weeks left to Christmas and I had barely bought any presents! I scrambled to get things together and actually got the majority of my shopping done (I am so thankful for online shopping!).
For friends I like to make simple homemade gifts like this cookie mix. Mixes are fun because you can throw together cookies when a craving strikes, and with a homemade version you avoid preservatives and other unappealing ingredients. It’s so easy to pour all the ingredients for cookies into a jar (and you probably already have them in your kitchen) and then you can dress it up with a ribbon and label for a sweet present.
